Well it's been a busy start to the new year. Lots of you came to the clearance event and to those of you who asked the next one will be in the summer June / July so keep an eye out! This weekend we've had stupendous response to the Free P&P offer so much so that it's ben extended to end on the 27th of January now as it's obviously what people want! We're busy working on a new Wedding section in the shop which is exciting too

Me at workHappy New year to you! I had a lovely Christmas holiday amid the beautiful Welsh coast in Barmouth. Lots of great walks on the flat sands and up the windy hills lovely but now we're back and looking forward to a busy new year with the Warehouse Clearance Event on the 14th and 15th hope to see you there.

The Christmas Giveaway event started and looks to be as popular as ever. 40% off plus lots of other goodies you can't fail but to fill your basket

I celebrated my 4th birthday on the 26th November and would like to say thank you to everyone that sent me birthday wishes by email or by visiting the shop with a chew stick or bone for me.

Just a quick note to say Hi and that the Spooky Sale which was on for just 12 hours from Halloween 6pm to 1st November at 6am was frighteningly popular! Loads of you grabbed a bargain with 30% off everything! Keep a look out for any more of these short and unannounced events.

Dont forget the great chance to win a Cricut Expression machine and 2 extra carts (that means you get 4 in all as the machine is supplied with 2 anyway)  worth over £400. Just order £20 or more of crafting goodies and you could win and there no limit to the amount of times either, so the more you order the more chance you have of winning! It ends on the 30th of November so there's a bit of time left yet.

November means that it's Christmas next month I am so excited I can hardly wait. We're off to Wales and the coast for Christmas and I'm looking forward to a good old run on the long and windy beaches but before that I've time to make my Christmas cards and we've got some great stocking fillers in too.

Well now we're well into September and this weekend has been manic! With all the fab Cricut Spellbinders Cuttlebug and Promarker offers we've had on I can hardly see over the pile of order forms John has printed in the warehouse. Keep a look-out for more fab bargains soon!

We are now on Facebook - actually there a Place which is Pondskipper Crafts and me Rubee Pondskipper, why not add me as one of your friends and I'll do the same. I even Twitter account now but dont go on it very often as yet @pondskippercrafts is the one to follow and you can also "Like" items on the website now with your Facebook account

Hope you're all well and if you can pop into the shop I'd love to see you (Although I am out on wednesdays and Fridays as a rule)

It's all go. Doncaster a couple of weeks ago was busy and Jan and Steve tell me it was good to see so many of you there! Since they returned ther ahas been a coupl eof demonstration weekends (the next is this weekend). we have had some fab deals on cricut cartridges and promarker pens but I don't like them as I find them difficut to hold without a rubber band around my paw.

Steve & Jan are off to Holland at the beginning of September on business so I'll be here in charge on my own so if you want to bring your puppies and other potential playmates down... you know what they say whilst the cats away the dogs will play (or more like a monkey in  Steve's case!)

TTFN

Well the Warehouse Clearance weekend went very well, thank to all who came, I had a great time meeting and greeting at the door.

Now we are open 7 days a week it will be easier for those of us who have busy weeks to make it in and next week the lovely sarah will be joining us. Sarah has many years of experience at John Lewis's in the Habby dept. and is also a mad keen Cross stitcher Card Maker and Scrapbooker so she is the ideal person to run the Pondskipper Shop at the weekend.

Kay is busy setting up the Craft Class schedule and there are a couple of classes scheduled for July and August but it will start in earnest in september and you can see the time table by clicking here  or look our for the easel logo on the right side of the website screen.

Jan & Steve will be at the Summer Crafting show at Doncaster Racecourse on the 16th and 17th so if you're going pop on the stand and say Hi! I have to stay here and keep things tickling along but of course we will be open that weekend too.

I hope you are keeping well. I have had quite a few people join me on the facebook page and Cathering Bennett is helping me along with Hearts and support so a big thank you to her.

I do have a Facebook page now (click here) to see.

I had to get Steve away to Birmingham which went well (Steve covered in glitter everyday was always worth a titter) Jan joined the stand on the Saturday and sunday and told me it was busy and so good to meet some of our lovely customers.

Now we are trying to find a couple of people to join us here at Pondskipper Lakes. and we have the jobs advertised on the jobs page (click here if you want to see it) so we can open 7 days a week and restart the craft classes. let's hope that happens soon!

I have been busy looking after people in the shop and really enjoy meeting our customers and sniffing all the things they bring in with them! (It's a doggy thing!)

rubee in bedAs you can see I have decided that the winter is not my favourite, it's very chilly on the paws.

We're busy at the moment. Steve have just been at the Craft Show at Glasgow's SECC and met lots of our customers and new crafters. He was there with Lynda Chapman  who was demonstrating different techniques.

Next we will be at the Hobbycrafts Show at the Birmingham NEC from the 24th to the 27th of March stand G21 (turn left as you go in and we are down there on the left) He will be joined by Craig Dougan who will be demonstrating Sakura Pens with some great show offers.

I had my hair done the other day. it was getting so long I just couldn't do anything with it so 4 hours later and tadda! They tell me I look like a puppy again - no need for Botox here!

Festive CheerMerry Christmas to everyone from me and my team here at Pondskipper Towers! Thank you for being lovely customers and for all the messages and Christmas cards you send my kennel wall is completely covered and I have had to take up a bit of wall space in the craft room! Really have been some lovely techniques and different ideas, it is going to keep me busy over the Christmas time doing a bit of crafting at home to copy some of the fab ideas.

We are closed from the 23rd to the 28th inclusive then again on new Years eve until the 4th  then on the 8th we have the clearance sale which you should not miss!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all from all of us!

Well I was 3 on the 26th of November. Everybody sang Happy Birthday to me and it was lovely. Who would have thought, tempest fugit as my old grand mother's mother used to say.

Anyway thank you to all those who came by the shop and gave me a cuddle and a biscuit but a girl has got to watch here figure so I'll be taking my time with them.

A good deal has been going on and my paws are sore from running around this week making sure all the orders from the web clearance sale last weekend are going out!

On a personal note I am letting my hair grow for the winter and I'll get Steve to take a photo when he gets a min. By the way I do like his blue slippers at the moment, every time I see them I just have to go and give them a bight and sometimes I get luck and get a bit of toe too!!

There are lots of items now on the website that have not been there before and they seem to be popular but don't forget there are over 3000 iteems on the web so don't forget to have a good look around and if you can't find something on a normal search I have found the new Advanced Search feature very useful.

I have also put in a New FAQ page to answer some of the most common questions we have to answer - so even if we are not here (which is not very often) you may still get the answer you are looking for.

We have also launched a new collection service. If you want to colelct your order and save on P&P but still bag a website bargain you can now by applying the code shop-collect at the checkout. This will tell us you want to collect the order and take off any P&P charges that may have been added. Just give us a call before you come to make sure it's all ready and waiting and Bob's Your Mothers Brother (as John says)!

We have another of our Warehouse Clearance Sales on the 8th of January 2011. As usual there will be terrific clearance bargains and lots of opportunity to meet with other keen crafters

The Teams said  Pondskipper's Stand at Shepton Mallet ShowIt was lovely for them to meet lots of people at the Shepton Mallet craft show. Here you can see a picture of the stand. Quite a few of our existing customers popped in to say hello.

Lynda Chapman was demonstrating the WOW embossing powders we have yet to put on the website and Louise made a lovely Vellum and embossed butterfly card.

we are thinking about the next time we will be at a show. if you have any ideas please let us know.

At Easter the Good News for our bargain hunters is that we are going to have a stand at the Stitch & Creative Crafts Show at Shepton Mallet on the 22nd to the 25th April.

This Saturday we will be opening the warehouse to the Public for a one day clearance sale on the 1st of May 10 until 4pm. we have changed the layout of the warehouse and so it should be a great deal quicker to get round than last time but we hope as many people come as possible as that is the only way we can continue to hold this type of event!

I work with all of the others at Pondskipper Crafts everyday and have done since I can remember and - unless I can sneak a half day - am in the shop welcoming our customers and occasionally playing with them (they like it when I have them throw a rag bone - it's a simple thing and especially keeps the men visitors happy  whilst their partner has time to look around).

Occasionally I have to look around the warehouse just to make sure things are kept ship shape. This picture shows me supervising the Logistics Controller, John, on a forklift truck, unfortunately he was wearing shorts, not so good when you are only 12 inches high and looking upwards..!

I am thinking of starting a blog if time permits, but if you would like to write to me to discuss anything then please use the link here and I will always do my best to answer as quickly as possible.

Steve & Jan - my partners in this business - are due a walk now so I had better go.

Happy Crafting  and if you want to look at  all the new stuff click here

Love to all

Rubee x
